Your current nursery policies regarding photographs/videos should still be used to cover this as using eyLog to record child’s learning journeys is no different to your current practice in terms of parents being able to share data. If you currently allow parents to take home their child’s learning journey over a weekend for example, they could take a photograph of something in it and upload it to social media sites. Be assured, with eyLog there is no easy way to copy/save photographs from children’s learning journey but like paper based learning journeys it could be done. With your setup we do provide a template consent form which you can use to gain parents agreement that they will not share photographs containing other children or utilise information for purposes other than understanding their child’s development.
