One of the features of eyLog is an integrated messaging system between yourself, as the parent, and the managers of your child’s nursery. Managers can send out important information that they feel is relevant to you and your child via your Parent Portal and vice versa. You can view these messages via your web parent portal or from the eyLog Parent app at any time.


Notification

If you have registered your email address with the nursery and activated your parent account, then you will receive an email notification to your registered email address when a message is sent by the nursery manager. Clicking on the link provided in the email will take you to the web login screen for your child’s setting.

If you are using our eyLog Parent app on your mobile device and have turned on notifications, then you will also receive a notification via the application and can view this under the notifications section. Clicking on the notification will display the relevant message.


From your Web Parent Portal

Once you are logged in, click on the ‘Messages’ tab at the top of the screen. If you have any new messages, the little red bubble will show with the number of unread messages in your inbox.



This will open up your eyLog inbox. Unread messages will be listed in bold and can be opened by clicking on the message subject.

 


From here you can read your message, then either click ‘Delete’ to erase the message or to reply to the message, click ‘Reply’. Note: The message will continue to be available in your inbox if you do not choose to delete it.



You will then be able to type your message to the nursery into the ‘Message’ box and click ‘Send’. 


Note: You can also choose to ‘Save’ the message to come back to later if required.



From the eyLog Parent App

In the parent app, tap on the menu icon in the top right corner and select ‘Messages’. From the list, tap on the message you wish to view or click the ‘+’ icon at the top to send a new message to the nursery.



Once you have read the message from the nursery, either click the bin icon in the top right corner to erase it or click on the arrow icon to reply. Type your message into the ‘Enter message’ box and click the ‘ ’ at the top of the screen to send it to the nursery manager.
