When a child leaves your setting you can order an Offline Learning Journey for the parents or to keep as a record. Your order will then be processed by the eyLog team and if you have requested a zip download link, you will then receive an email containing a link similar to the one shown below.

Click on the link, it will automatically download. Note: This may take some time depending on your Wi-Fi connection. Once the file has downloaded, the link can be found in the ‘Downloads’ folder.

To extract the file, click ‘Extract All’ and select the folder you would like the files to be saved in.

Note: It will then take a few seconds for the file to be extracted.

If this option is not available, you will need to download the 7-Zip software. To do this type ‘7zip’ into Google and click on ‘Download’. Choose the option shown below from the download list. Then follow the instructions on page 4.

If you are using 7-zip:

From the ‘7-zip’ options choose ‘Open archive’.

From this screen, select the file and then click ‘Extract’.

Select the folder you would like the files to be saved in and click ‘OK’.

Note: It will then take a few seconds for the file to be copied.

Click on ‘eyLogLearningJourney.html’ and the offline learning journey will open in your default browser.

Note: If your default browser is Internet Explorer you will need to ‘Allow blocked content’ in the pop up box that appears when the browser screen opens, to be able to play any videos linked to the observation.

If you are putting the offline learning journey onto a disk/USB you need to copy all the content from the folder in ‘Downloads’ to the media device. This contains all the videos, images, audio clips, etc.
